Float or Sink?
Float or Sink? A Simple STEM Activity
Today we explored which objects float and which objects sink.
We filled a large bowl with water and tested stones, bottle caps, spoons and small toys. Before each test, children showed their prediction with thumbs up (float) or thumbs down (sink).
This activity worked very well with our refugee and migrant children, because they could participate using gestures even if they did not speak the local language yet.
